CryoDry Series Cryogenic Dry Disconnect Coupling

The ZeroGas sseries Dry Disconnect Coupling is a specialized line of dry disconnect couplings engineered for the safe and efficient transfer of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and similar media. Designed to connect hoses, crane pipes, loading arms, and mobile units (such as tank cars and railway tankers), the ZeroGas sseries Dry Disconnect Coupling ensures a leak-tight, automatic shut-off during connection and disconnection, significantly enhancing operational safety.

  • Product Introduction

The CryoDry Series Cryogenic Dry Disconnect Coupling is a premier solution designed for the safe, spill-free transfer of cryogenic media including LNG, liquid nitrogen, and liquid oxygen. Featuring an advanced dual-poppet design, the internal valves remain securely closed until the coupling halves are fully locked, and seal automatically upon disconnection. Benchmarked against the world-class TODO-MATIC® core standards, this series eliminates fugitive emissions, protects operators from cryogenic burns, and prevents environmental hazards.

Working Principle: Single-Action "Push & Turn" Connection

Smooth Coupling: Eliminates the need for complex levers or external wrenches. Operators simply align the Female unit with the Male adapter, push forward, and rotate clockwise.

Safety Interlock: The first 15° of rotation mechanically locks the units together while valves remain closed. Further 90° rotation activates the internal cam curve, opening both valves simultaneously for full flow.

Zero-Leak Disconnection: Turning counter-clockwise closes the internal valves safely prior to disconnection, ensuring virtually zero spillage or product splash at the split moment.

Dual Material Options  Selection Guide

To accommodate different field environments and budgets, two optimized material grades are available:

Stainless Steel 316L Version: Entirely constructed with high-grade stainless steel body and heavy-duty internals. Offers supreme fatigue resistance and robust corrosion defense. Highly recommended for coastal marine terminals, ship-to-shore bunkering, and high-frequency industrial loading.

Aerospace Aluminum Alloy Version: Engineered from high-strength, lightweight aluminum alloy. Reduces unit weight by over 30% compared to stainless steel, dramatically decreasing physical strain for operators during frequent manual couplings on tank trucks and mobile refueling carts.

Core Technical Advantages

High Flow Rate & Minimal Pressure Drop: The interior flow path utilizes an optimized geometric profile to minimize fluid turbulence, ensuring maximum loading and unloading efficiency.

Premium Cryogenic Sealing: Fitted with high-spec PTFE gaskets and specialized low-temperature elastomers. Rated for minimum working temperatures down to -196°C (-320°F), requiring no retightening during ongoing cool-down phases.

Selectivity System (Cross-Contamination Prevention): Available with a mechanical coding/selectivity slot option. This physically prevents incorrect connection between different media lines (e.g., mistaking LNG for Nitrogen), completely eliminating human error.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Are your CryoDry cryogenic dry break couplings fully interchangeable with TODO-MATIC® brands?

A: Yes. Our couplings are designed strictly in accordance with international leading standards. The interface, coupling dimensions, and safety interlocks match global brands, allowing 100% seamless cross-connection.

Q: What is the difference between Stainless Steel and Aluminum versions under -196°C?

A: Both materials pass standard cryogenic validation. SS316L offers superior corrosion and fatigue resistance for aggressive environments, while Aluminum alloy drastically reduces the coupling's weight for easier manual handling.

Q: What quality control tests do these cryogenic couplings undergo?

A: Every single CryoDry coupling undergoes a 100% cryogenic liquid nitrogen test (-196°C) and tight pneumatic sealing test before delivery to guarantee zero leakage.
